A new medium...

Taking a lunch-time stroll at South Wharf today, I tested out the image quality on my new iPhone (and a cool effect using the Instagram app). I may be a bit slow coming to this technology - I still prefer my SLR's - but it is great to be able to take great shots when I don't have an SLR or my trusty Lumix handy. And it makes it very quick and easy to upload to my blog, Facebook, Twitter or wherever! Love it!

Pic of the month - April 2012

Our pic of the month is from a wedding we photographed last weekend at Melbourne's famous Montsalvat in Eltham. This beautiful moment was captured in the courtyard, directly in front of the Great Hall. This provided a fantastic backdrop for some stunning wedding photos. Congratulations to Rachael & Marcel!

Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix

With a birds-eye view over the track from the roof of a nearby apartment building, I managed to get some great shots of the track, including this one above when Romain Grosjean was bumped out of the race by Pastor Maldonado and ended up in the gravel! Future Music Festival - Melbourne 2012

Future Music Festival - Melbourne 2012

The Future Music Festival was held yesterday at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne. Weather wise, it was a perfect day for it. The sun was out and the temperature was around 21 degrees.

Thousands packed the venue to see artists like Skrillex, New Order, The Wombats, Fat Boy Slim and Jessie J (among many others). We went along to capture some shots of the event. Photos will be up on our website soon (check the "Clients" page).

While you are there, check out some of the other events we have photographed. You might see yourself in one of those pics too!

I wandered down to Port Melbourne yesterday to get a view, and a few pics, of the grand Queen Mary 2. It is certainly an amazing ship. I will be posting some more pics in coming days...also check out our Facebook page...

Early one summer's morning...

Albert Park Lake

I decided to go for a walk on Saturday morning to catch the early morning light. Melbourne is a great place for exploring and I am lucky enough to live close to the Albert Park Lake - home of the Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix.

It is also home to hundreds of water-birds - ducks, swans and a number of other species I am not familiar with!

I have loaded up a handful of pictures on our Facebook page. Check it out: http://on.fb.me/y2hZDr

I will also be loading up a gallery on our web page. Stay tuned! :)

Pic of the month - February 2012

You lookin' at me?!

Our pic of the month for February is this cute little wallaby. This little fella is a resident of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. This was taken during a recent trip to Queensland.

Not particularly sure why it is called the Sunshine Coast, because it seems to rain non-stop every time I go there!

In all seriousness, though, we did get a few days of sunshine. On this particular day, though, there were several wallabies who all took off to seek shelter when the skies opened up!

I was lucky enough to catch this one before he disappeared!

Melbourne Summadayze Festival

We went along to Melbourne's Summadayze festival on New Year's Day as guests of rock star caterers, CNK Food Design, to grab some shots of the artists, the crowd and the atmosphere!

As always, the Summadayze festival was held at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl.It was a scorcher of a day with the mercury hitting around 36 degrees! There were more than a few patrons who were suffering from the heat (coupled with an over indulgence....)!

We took over 700 photos, so we are undertaking the arduous task of selecting and processing, which will take some time! We will have a link up on our website at some point in the next day that will point to a gallery of images. If there are any that you like, you will be able to purchase them directly and pay using your PayPal account.

If you have any queries, please hit our Contact page (http://bit.ly/uiILe8) and send us a note. We will respond as quickly as humanly possible! Happy New Year all!
