Hello all,
I have just returned from a trip to Thailand and India. Most of the time was spent in India - in the northern states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
It was an amazing trip. India is a fascinating place.
One experience I had was on a trip to Kasauli - about 2 hours drive north-east of Chandigarh. I was visiting a temple at Monkey Point. I had hiked up the 100 or more steps (felt like 1000!!!) up to the temple and after having a brief "moment" of silent contemplation at the hilltop temple, I started back down the steps.
That was when I noticed a group of monkeys following a us back down the steps. Amongst the group was one monkey who had no arms! It appeared like it was born that way, and had adapted quite well. I was marvelling as he hopped over rocks to make his way down the hill. Then suddenly, he hopped up onto a wire (presumably a telephone cable) and proceeded to slide down the wire, hopping off at the tree below!! I was amazed!
Unfortunately I was not allowed to take my camera, as there is a military base there, so no photos allowed. :( Funniest thing I saw the whole trip and I didn't have my camera with me to capture it!!
There are many other fantastic images I did capture, so please keep checking back at my site or the Facebook page for new images.
Bye for now!
Paul
